Roads are the “veins of our nation”; without ‘em, we’d be dead! According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) there are more than 5.7 million miles of paved roadways in the United States. The vast majority (95.7 percent) of our Nation’s roadways are under the jurisdiction of state and local governments (town, city, county) to control and maintain. National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) standards apply to each municipality when building or maintaining their roadways. Watersaver focuses on educating the various DOT’s on new products that can better perform, reduce costs and increase the efficiencies of controlling erosion and sediment during the critical stages of construction.
